Day Camp and Webelos Residence Camp are the next big events in the Scouting Year for our Pack.    Are you ready?

When you joined Scouting, did you join to shoot BB guns, use a bow and arrow, fish, overnight camp, and do other cool activities?   Well, Day Camp and Webelos Residence Camp are your chances to do just that, and MORE!    These are activities that the Packs can not put on themselves, only our local Council can do them.  So now is your chance.

We have already had sign ups.   Looks like we will have a good turn out from our Pack for both events.   Now, we have to make sure everyone has paid their camp fees and completes their Medical Forms.

Once we have the forms and fees, who do we talk to?    Good question, let’s break it down by camp.http://www.buckeyecouncil.org/files/i/usr/4/daycampbanner.png

Day Camp:

See your leaders:  Kurt Jarrell and Scott Dodson.    Contact them for any issues, but make sure you get your completed Medical Forms to them ASAP.   You can also contact Mrs Kath Reed for Payment issues/making payments.

Part of our camp site last year @ WRC!

Webelos Residence Camp:

See your leaders Angelia and Jeff Walter and John Durkin.   Again, contact them with any issues and make sure to get them your completed Medical Forms WITH the Physicals and copies of your insurance cards.   These are due to your leaders BY June 14th.   Any payment issues, see your leaders or Mrs Reed.

Paying for Camp

We know these events are expensive.    That is part of the reason we sell Popcorn earlier in the year.   The boys earn money towards camp while helping fund the Pack’s yearly activities.    We hope you were able to participate.

The Pack and or Council can also help if a family needs some help.   These are called Hardship Camperships.   Any family that has signed up and feels they can no longer afford Camp for their Scout, PLEASE, let us know.    Talk to the Committee Chair Greg Paul, or our Cub Master Jeff Walter or your Den Leader.  Let us know so we can help.   It is confidential and private.

See our Day Camp/Residence Camp web page for more info and links to Medical Forms and other information.

HAVE FUN!!!

So, what are we doing this summer?  The answer is simple, LOTS!

See our Events page for details.   A flyer will be sent home from our last Pack Meeting on Thursday April 25th, outlining all the events that are planned through August.  All events, dates, times, contact info, and RSVP information will be on it.   So make sure it gets firmly attached to your fridge or message board at home.   As always, check this website for information, too.

Starting with the May Camp Out and Fishing Derby, Scouts will have five opportunities to earn their Cub Scout Activity Award for attending three of the five events!

So come on out and have some fun this summer with your fellow Scouts and your families!

See you there!

Please take our 2013 Pack 933 Survey.    It is a very simple survey.   The survey has three questions:

  1. What should the Pack START doing?
  2. What should the Pack STOP doing?
  3. What should the Pack CONTINUE doing?

See, pretty easy and straight forward.   It is totally anonymous.  Your email and your IP are not recorded.   All that is generated are the responses.   These answers will be taken to the Pack Committee and used to make our Pack better.

So this is your chance.   Let us know what you think.   Help us help your Scouts have a better Scouting experience.

The link is at the top of the page, PACK 933 SURVEY 2013 !!

Also, if you would like to volunteer to help at one of our events, let our Activities Committee know, email Jen Paul from our Pack Leadership page for more details.
